1. How does a staffing company work?
Eagle places skilled resources with a wide variety of organizations. We work with these companies to understand their staffing needs and then review resumes, interview candidates and perform reference checks to determine the best match for each role. Depending on our clients’ requirements, we’ll either hire a contractor to fill a short term need, or we’ll place a professional in a permanent position.

2. How much does this service cost job seekers?
There is no charge to a person seeking employment (contract or permanent). Staffing companies are generally compensated by their clients.

3. How does your recruiting process work?
All of our open jobs are posted in our Job Centre. We accept resumes for all types of executive, technology, finance, or accounting positions, and contact the best qualified candidates for any open opportunity. Every resume we receive is carefully screened and added to our database so we can easily contact people who qualify for existing and future positions.

4. Who are your clients?
We have an extensive list across Canada and the United States. We are a preferred vendor to over 100 organizations in both the private and public sectors.

5. Do you alter my resume to suit a particular position?
No, we will never alter the information on your resume. We may suggest changes to your resume; however, we will always contact you first before making any changes.

6. Will you present my resume without speaking to me first?
Never. As indicated in our Privacy Statement, we will always ask your permission before submitting your resume to any organization.

7. How many people in your organization will be actively seeking opportunities on my behalf?
Eagle is a team-based environment. That means that all of our Recruiters and Account Managers will be working together and sharing information to make sure that we find you the best match, quickly.

8. If you don’t find me something right away, how will you remember who I am?

Our database contains detailed information for every applicant. We will always refer to this information as new opportunities arise. Our goal is to maintain the most up-to-date information on your profile and you can be a part of this by updating your profile at any time.

9. How long are contract assignments?
The length of any contract assignment varies depending on the needs of the client and their project(s). Contracts can range anywhere from a few days to a year. Our clients will often offer extensions on contracts.

10. Do you offer any benefits?
We assist our consultants as much as possible in educating them on where they can go to get information regarding specific benefits such as training, health benefits, and dental plans, though ultimately the responsibility lies with the individual consultant, as direct provision of benefits of this nature would pose co-employment risks for both the client and the candidate. However, we are in a partnership with LMS PROLINK to offer insurance to independent contractors who work with Eagle at a reduced monthly rate.

11. How does Eagle help with international contracts?
If you qualify for and decide to take a contract outside of Canada, Eagle will assist you in preparing all the necessary required documentation. We also have a partnership with an insurance company in the United States to provide you the insurance you’ll need.

12. What else can I expect from Eagle?
Working with Eagle has many advantages, including:

  • Monthly industry newsletters
  • Networking events
  • Opportunities to team with others
  • Access to whitepapers
