Affordable LIABILITY Insurance for Independent Contractors!
One of the biggest barriers in becoming an Independent Contractor and enjoying the rewards of contracting is the liability issue. Insurance is a necessary expense and a wise investment that most small-sized businesses should consider purchasing. Insurance protects you, as an independent contractor, your business, and your personal assets in the event that things don’t go as planned.
It’s always tempting to forego this expense on the assumption that unexpected surprises can always be kept at bay. You have to ask yourself whether that is a chance worth taking. After all, there is a real risk that you can be ruined financially as a result of a single mishap.
Until now it has been very difficult to find a provider with reasonable rates. Eagle is pleased to announce a solution to the cost versus benefit dilemma. Eagle has partnered with LMS PROLINK to offer independent contractors Comprehensive General Liability and Errors and Omissions insurance coverage at competitive rates.
For IT, Adminstrative and Clerical positions the rate is $17.00 per month plus tax
For Accounting and Finance Professionals, the rate is $25.00 per month plus taxes.
Commercial General Liability (CGL) insurance is important coverage that every business should purchase. It protects your business against claims for bodily injury, property damage, personal injury, libel, and slander.
Errors and Omissions coverage essentially protects you from lawsuits which may arise from mistakes you may make which cause financial loss to a third party.
When combined, these two polices give you the protection which you need to protect your business and your family.
As an Independent Contractor, you are eligible for coverage at this rate while you are on contract through Eagle. This policy does not cover you for work done independently or on behalf of any other staffing company. As such, you should be careful to maintain any existing policies.
This program is administered by LMS PROLINK Ltd and is optional. LMS PROLINK Ltd. has teamed up with ENCON Underwriting Group to make this possible.

To Enroll
Email your Eagle recruiter with your name and company name, and request immediate liability protection. Eagle will send you a temporary login ID and password. You then go to www.lms.ca/naccb/ICprogram to long in and bind coverage.
Enrollment FAQs
1. I have all the information I need on the program, now how do I sign up?
You should have received an information package via email from Eagle. This will contain instructions directing you to our secure online site, and will provide a password and login ID.
2. How do I know it’s safe to input my personal information online?
LMS PROLINK has built a secure site. The site is owned, managed, and maintained by LMS. Your information will only be shared with the insurance company and with Eagle. Please feel free to read our privacy and disclosure statement which can be seen at: www.LMS.ca/aboutus.asp
3. How do I make payment?
Payment is made by credit card when you sign up online. It is safe and secure and completely managed by MONERIS (which is owned by BMO and RBC). You may choose to pay your premium monthly or in full.
4. I don’t have a credit card, are there other options?
Although Credit Card is the method of payment for this program, we will accept certified funds payable to LMS PROLINK for the full payment, subject to a $15 administration fee. If you wish to pay by certified funds, you are still required to complete your information on the website, in order to obtain your evidence of insurance, once your payment has been received. Please ensure your contact information is enclosed with your payment so we may confirm receipt of payment.
