Eagle Joins the Fight to End Homelessness

Eagle’s CEO Joins Ottawa Leadership Table on Homelessness

Ottawa, ON – December 18, 2007, – Kevin Dee, CEO of Canadian IT Staffing firm Eagle Professional Resources Inc. (Eagle), is taking action in fighting homelessness in Ottawa as he joins business leaders, government officials, and community representatives on the Leadership Table on Homelessness. The newly formed Leadership Table was brought together by the United Way, the City of Ottawa, and the 2016 Foundation to put an end to chronic homelessness in the Ottawa area.

Mr. Dee first learned about the Leadership Table on Homelessness and got involved through his volunteer work with the United Way. In addition to the obvious personal benefits to the homeless, there is also a business case to be made for solving this issue as the financial burden of the chronic homeless on social services including health, police, and shelters is astronomical. With a long-term objective of completely ending chronic homelessness, the Leadership Table intends to develop a work plan by summer 2008.

“By engaging business, government and charitable organizations into one team, we have a real chance to solve this problem,” said Mr. Dee. “That is a worthy goal and I will be working hard to achieve it.”
