Eagle Named One of Canada’s Top 10 ICT Staffing Companies
Professional Staffing Company also Ranks in Branham300 Top 250 Canadian ICT Companies
Ottawa, ON, April 5, 2011 – With the annual release of the Branham Group’s Branham300, Eagle Professional Resources Inc. (Eagle) is proud to be ranked #5 in the new Top 10 Canadian ICT Staffing Companies category, a ranking which measures revenues generated from permanent and contract ICT placements and related services. In addition, Eagle climbed to number 17 as one of Canada’s Top 25 Information & Communication Technology (ICT) Companies and is number 54 among the Top 250 Canadian ICT Companies. The 2011 listings, published today in Backbone Magazine and distributed by the Globe and Mail, are compiled using annual revenue as submitted by each listed company. This is the 18th year for the Branham300. Eagle has been included on the rankings for the past 13 years.
The primary objective of the Branham300 is to raise the profile of the Canadian ICT industry and identify its leaders, while promoting the technological innovations these companies contribute at both national and international levels. Over 1,000 companies were approached to submit an application to be included in the list in order to ensure an accurate outlook of the overall ICT industry across Canada. Today, the Branham Group describes this publication as “The most comprehensive listing of publicly traded and privately held IT companies in Canada”.
Today’s publication highlights that the Canadian ICT Industry showed positive growth in 2010. This includes the ICT Professional Services sector which grew by 3.26% resulting in combined revenue of $10.65 billion. Geographically, Ontario, Quebec, Alberta and British Columbia contributed more than 97% of the Canadian ICT industry’s total revenues. Each of the provinces showed revenue growth in 2010, including Alberta which had a significant 46.31% increase to $4.1 billion from $2.8 billion in 2009.
For nearly 20 years, the Branham300 has highlighted the top Canadian and Multinational ICT companies operating in Canada, as ranked by revenues. It illustrates the depth and breadth of innovative technologies developed in Canada and is widely considered to be a leading source of intelligence on Canada’s ICT industry.
