The power of communications in the modern world never ceases to amaze me … if you had any doubts about the speed at which our world is changing then you just need to go online and watch some of the devastation in Japan, that was shown as it happened! We watched as a tsunami struck, destroying everything in its path, tossing planes, trains, boats and tractor trailers around like toys.
I felt like I was there … yet helpless! For me it was a visceral reminder that in this 21st Century we live in a Global village, and we need to help each other out when we can.
I liked John Izzo’s response, which I have copied below. I subscribe to John’s newsletter and have the greatest respect for his pragmatic, yet empathetic approach to life. I also wrote a review of his book, the Five Secrets You Must Discover Before You Die, which is a must read.
I’m sure he won’t mind me plagiarizing his message …
It is with great sorrow that we send
this message to our readers.
We would like to send our sincere empathy, our compassion and
love to the citizens of Japan and to those who have family
and friends impacted by the terrible events of Friday, March 11, 2011
You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
with warmth, the Eagle Team
