For some people goals become a natural thing, they are always setting goals … for most people it is not that way.
Goals can also be used at a much higher level … Life Goals if you like. In fact I blogged about that a little bit in Getting the Most Out of Your Life almost 5 years ago. That blog entry reminded me that I have let those things slip a little.
What are the things I want to “get done” before I die. This year I climbed into a boxing ring in front of 600 people to raise money for charity … it was a great life experience, and not one I will repeat (maybe if I was a bit younger)!!!
What else do I want to do? Bungee jump? Jump out of an airplane? Learn a language?
Where do I want to visit? A safari, the Arctic, the Norwegian fjords?
If I can create a list of these goals in one place then I give myself a chance of meeting them … through some planning!
I don’t want to leave this earth with regrets about the things I did NOT do, so I will make that list. Will you?
“Carpe diem! Rejoice while you are alive; enjoy the day; live life to the fullest; make the most of what you have. It is later than you think.” … a roman poet BC.
PS. Part of my journey involves giving back to those who need my help. Just like the boxing in March, and my current endeavor to raise money for the fight against prostate cancer through Movember. (see my link below). Are YOU doing your bit to make this a better place?
