“If you really want something you can figure out how to make it happen.” … Cher.
I like to think I am someone who makes it happen!
Most business owners tend to be action oriented … and if YOU want success in any aspect of your life then you will have a better chance if you make it happen.
Sixteen years ago I seized an opportunity, started a company and that changed my life … and a few other people’s lives along the way!

On a smaller scale, when I started the company I needed advisers so I started a “self help” group of business owners that met on a regular basis to discuss our common issues … and no matter what business you run, most of the issues are common!
When you put your focus on building a business and your growing family, inevitably something suffers. For us, we neglected our network of friends. So, when we had time to socialise again I started a tradition of throwing parties and inviting a large and diverse group of people, many of whom became friends.
Recently my wife and I moved out of Ottawa and while there are many benefits to our new lifestyle, we are once again finding ways to network in a different city. So, one of the things I am doing is to organise a dinner networking group of senior people in Toronto which I anticipate will form new friendships for many of its members. I think that many ideas are “borrowed”, and this one I borrowed from my friend Paul Hindo in Ottawa, whose dinner group I enjoyed for many years!
Ideas don’t need to be new … but it ALWAYS takes someone who is willing to “Make it Happen”.
In fact, being willing to make it happen isn’t really enough … it needs someone to KEEP making it happen!!!
Nothing comes easily, and many “things”/promises/resolutions are started but it takes a consistent effort to keep things going.
