I am often struck by that thought … I am SO lucky, life is GREAT!
My journey has been varied, interesting, and I would certainly not have been voted as likely to succeed when I was growing up!
My first job, at 16 years of age, was in the Royal Navy as a boy sailor, and I was able to start there and for the last 25 years been business owner. How cool is that?
I was far from good enough to be a professional soccer player, but I played at a competitive level till I was almost 60 years old. How cool is that?
I have owned many motorcycles over the years, and each one has elicited a big grin. They have brought me tremendous joy, new friends and memorable rides. How cool is that?
I have important people in my life and I am grateful for that. It is way too easy to take relationships for granted and success alone is (a) unlikely and (b) no fun!
Like everybody, life has brought its challenges, but battling through them is what made me who I am today (and we can all say that)! How cool is that?
I’m no spring chicken but I still work out almost every day, and recently hit a weight goal that has me at my lowest weight in 25 years! How cool is that?
Life is GREAT!
Guess what …life is what we make it!
You don’t need to own a business or play soccer or own a motorbike. You just need to do the things that will make your life great and focus on those things!
I made my own choices … and I am where I am, because of those life choices.
YOU made your own choices … and those choices have brought you where you are today.
As you travel on your life journey it would be a good goal for you to be able to agree with Louis Armstrong’s sentiment, “What a Wonderful World” !
“If you look at what you have in life, you’ll always have more. If you look at what you don’t have in life, you’ll never have enough.”
