Look for the Positives!

As the pandemic and its impacts continue I thought I would try a pick-me-up blog entry today.

Short and hopefully SWEET!

I decided to list just a few of the many things that are positives in my life.

  • We live in a free and democratic society ... nobody is going to be hauling us off to political prisons anytime soon.

  • The vast majority of us will have 3 square meals and a roof over our heads tonight.

  • If you are reading this then you also have internet access, and presumably access to many forms of electronic entertainment.

  • I am very thankful for my health and the ability to look after it by working out this morning.

  • I am also grateful that I can abuse it by drinking too much wine (and scotch) occasionally!

  • I'm thankful for my family ... what is more important?

  • I'm thankful that I live in a beautiful city with lots of amenities and a relatively low crime rate.

  • I am grateful that I have a job, I work with great people and we bring value to our clients.

  • I am grateful that I get to enjoy my hobby of motorcycling ... albeit not so much in the Winter!

There is a lot of negativity in the world right now.

Yet there is SO much to be grateful for.

Make your own list, add to it regularly and use it to remind yourself of all the good in your world!

"This is a wonderful day. I've never seen this one before!"

Note:

I write these articles with the intent of sharing MY experience and knowledge gained during MY life journey. From the 16 year old joining the Royal Navy, through many incarnations, to the grey haired guy who built a business. If you find a nugget here, then I am happy. If the message offends you then I apologise, that was never my intent. I know and recognize there are many people and groups who have a far bigger challenge than I have had and I only wish you well.
