How do you view the world?
I look at my life and see … possibilities and opportunities.
I look around me and am thankful for what I have.
I am often reminded of how lucky I am to be healthy.
I read news stories and recognize that Canada is a great place to live.
How do you live your life?
Do you try to look at the positives … or do you let those dark clouds into your mind?
Even when the economy is bad our lives are so much better than many around the world.
Even in a pandemic we have it good!
When you are tempted to look on the “dark side”, take a few minutes to remember just how lucky you REALLY are.
If you are still having trouble seeing the positives then watch this …Nick Vujicic was born with no arms and no legs, and he is one of the most positive people you will ever meet!
Once Nick has you in the mood then go and enjoy Bobby McFerrin singing Don’t Worry Be Happy!
Being miserable will not make you feel better … and affecting (infecting?) people around you with YOUR misery is definitely not going to help!
Take responsibility for your own happiness … be a glass half full person!
“Incredible change happens in your life when you decide to take control of what you do have power over instead of craving control over what you don’t.”
PS. I do want to add to this blog entry that people struggling with their mental health are not going to overcome their illness with this kind of approach. This is aimed at all the people who allow themselves to get down over life … which happens to most of us from time to time!

I write these articles with the intent of sharing MY experience and knowledge gained during MY life journey. From the 16 year old joining the Royal Navy, through many incarnations, to the grey haired guy who built a business. If you find a nugget here, then I am happy. If the message offends you then I apologise, that was never my intent. I know and recognize there are many people and groups who have a far bigger challenge than I have had and I only wish you well.
