Confidence is an amazing thing.
I see young people who operate with a confidence that belies their years, and I see experienced, capable people who just don’t project an air of confidence at all.
I see people whose situation changes and their confidence takes a hit … almost like air coming out of a balloon.
I see others who, despite their circumstances … ooze confidence!
It is not something you can see or touch.
There is no absolute measure of confidence.
How Important Is It?
Its importance is real.
Whole economies crash or boom … based on confidence.
Company stock prices rise and fall … based on confidence.
People get jobs, or not … based on confidence.
It is THAT important!
What can YOU do to improve your confidence?
1. Hang out with people that are good for your ego.
2. Remind yourself of your successes.
3. Be realistic about your failings/shortcomings … everyone has them!
4. Believe in yourself.
5. Always strive to get better.
6. Don’t listen to the naysayers.
All easy to say and not so easy to do … but if it really is THAT important shouldn’t you be working on it?
“Trust yourself. Create the kind of self that you will be happy to live with all your life. Make the most of yourself by fanning the tiny, inner sparks of possibility into flames of achievement.”

I write these articles with the intent of sharing MY experience and knowledge gained during MY life journey. From the 16 year old joining the Royal Navy, through many incarnations, to the grey haired guy who built a business. If you find a nugget here, then I am happy. If the message offends you then I apologise, that was never my intent. I know and recognize there are many people and groups who have a far bigger challenge than I have had and I only wish you well.
