Eagle is assisting our client who requires a Release Coordinator who will be responsible for the release management lifecycle, overseeing software component builds for the Retail portfolio and related internal and external dependencies through development, test, and production environments. This is a 12-month contract scheduled to start in July.

Key Skills for Release Coordinator:

  • Five plus (5+) years of experience in IT delivery
  • Exposure with IT Release Management
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Adaptable to change

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Jira/Confluence – preferred*
  • Experience in an Agile Environment
  • Experience with cloud cost management
  • Experience with Azure cloud infrastructure
  • Experience with cloud cost management
  • Understanding of software branching strategies

As a Release Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Planning release windows and the overall release lifecycle across portfolios
  • An understanding of business strategy, IT priorities and project functionality to recommend appropriate project release bundling, timing and schedule
  • Working with business on data-related tasks and dependencies
  • Ensuring corporate standards and deliverables are met; e.g. Centers of Expertise (COEs)
  • Understanding and meeting Delivery Operating Model (iDOM) requirements
  • Managing risks and resolving issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
  • Managing relationships and coordinating projects across portfolios, project teams, and external third parties
  • Managing and coordinating non-production environment usage in support of release cycles
  • Analyzing environment and data requirements to ensure all required infrastructure can be made available within expected timelines
  • Proactively planning and managing disparate technology team releases; resolves release/environment and data conflicts through reprioritization
  • Participating and/or leading release readiness reviews, business Go/No-Go reviews, CAB meetings
  • Leading and coordinating Go-Live activities such as building and the execution of implementation plans and checklists
  • Maintaining a release repository and managing key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists
  • Researching and analyzing new technologies, methodologies and their application to current software development and configuration management needs
