I talked to my mom today … she is 90 years old, lives on her own and last time I talked to her (last week) she was a little down because she wasn’t feeling too good. Today she was back to her old self, bubbling about the fact she got her yard cleaned up yesterday and today, in addition to cleaning the house!
We can all determine our level of enthusiasm … it is entirely within our own grasp. Even when my mom was a little down on herself she was able to laugh and joke about things.
If you think about the people you really like to spend time with, they tend to be enthusiastic people, they have energy, they energise you!
What is stopping YOU from being enthusiastic?
If you are a little out of shape and get tired easily … then fix it.
If you are not happy with your life then, take control of your own destiny and change things.
If you seem to be a naturally pessimistic person, then make a BIG effort to curb your pessimism and make a CONSCIOUS effort to present an optimistic view as much as possible.
If my 90 year old mom can inject enthusiasm through the phone to her son thousands of miles away surely you try!
