Our client has an urgent need to fill the position of an Automation and Security Application Specialist.

Assignment Length:                     12-month contract

Top skills for Automation and Security Application Specialist:

  • Solid expertise in Linux system admin (CentOS, Ubuntu…) and virtualization (VMWare and container technologies…)
  • Solid expertise in automation solutions (Ansible) and working knowledge of Ansible Tower
  • Intermediate and working knowledge of Information Security and networking (TCP/IP, DNS, proxy, Firewall) in a medium or large environment
  • Working knowledge of programming/scripting and the development tools (Python, API, Jenkins, Gitlab)
  • Knowledge of asset management (IPAM), and logging techs (Graylog, Kibana)
  • CISSP and related certificates are assets, as well as bilingual (English and French)

As the Automation and Security Application Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Work with an agile team to deploy, test, and maintain VA-Infra supporting software
  • Maintain and improve the performance of existing software
  • Participate in the Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery (CICD) cycle
  • SME on scanner deployment projects with multiple business units
  • Resolve security operational problems in a timely fashion, handle escalated issues and follow up on outstanding items promptly
  • Develop preventive measures and build documentation
  • Contribute to project meetings and report on issue status
