Job description

Eagle’s client is seeking a Delivery Manager for a six (6) month contract opportunity, scheduled to begin in December.

Key Delivery Manager Skills
  • Ten plus (10+) years of experience in a similar Delivery Manager role
  • Ten plus (10+) years of extensive knowledge of Capital Markets
  • Ten plus (10+) years of experience with SDLC – Agile specifically
  • Five plus (5+) years of experience working with software vendors
As a Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Managing the IT implementation across multiple IT teams;
  • Day to day coordination with IT teams;
  • Working with Business Program Manager on business financials priority and road map;
  • Working on an integrated plan for all IT deliverables and track to plan;
  • Managing IT financials and spending cost;
  • Providing regular update to senior management (VP, SVP level) through PowerPoint presentations;
  • Providing consulting and guidance on project initiatives including business case preparation and developing creative/alternative approaches to problem resolution. The focus is to be kept on overall business solutions, not on specific packages or technologies;
  • Identifying and confirming project leads from all required stakeholders and client groups to ensure responsibilities and deliverables are understood by each;
  • Managing project participants and relationships ensuring project teams are cohesive ad operating to common objectives and priorities;
  • Working with Project Sponsor to establish the scope of the project and managed to the established scope;
  • Ensuring Project Change Notifications are raised where necessary and approved. If the scope changes identify impacts to the Sponsor and/or Steering Committee;
  • Holding meetings and work sessions as necessary to ensure that project management deliverables are met i.e. project planning, risk management, issue management, status meetings;
  • Providing support to Client including business case preparation and developing creative/alternative approaches to problem resolution. The focus is to be kept on overall business solutions, not on specific packages or technologies;
  • Motivating the Project Team and maintaining the momentum of the Project against background of changing and occasionally conflicting priorities;
  • Ongoing communication of project status, completing the monthly Project Status Reports and escalating issues to the Operations Sponsor, the SVP, as required; and,
  • Ensuring the documentation and archiving of project activities, deliverables, tools and findings and for use in future projects.
