Deployment Manager (72697)

Job description

Our client is looking for a Deployment Manager to help coordinate daily, weekly and monthly deployment activity for a busy I.T. Project Delivery team. Our current scope of business systems includes BPI/eChat/Chatbot/MTS. This is a 6-month contract starting immediately.

Key Skills for Deployment Manager:

  • Manage the planning and implementation of delivery projects with the project team. RFC, MOP, Go/No Go calls.  *Not limited to
  • Develop templates / standard documentation for deployments & necessary delivery leads
  • Coordinate daily deployments with the business, and facilitate sanity checks
  • Facilitate discussion on risk mitigation during deployments
  • Responsible for creating / updating process documents with the technical team
  • Work rotating shifts to cover 24x7x365 operations. The shift will alternate every 2 weeks
  • Responsible for supporting production issues and working within our team and/or with support partners on major incident bridges
  • Use diagnostic monitoring tools to support production issues and daily monitoring
  • Assesses and establishes mitigation steps to ensure appropriate vulnerabilities are mitigated in a timely fashion
  • Monitor reviews and interpret security alerts and notifications and provides an initial response, analysis and incident management in support of Bell managed customers

Essential skills /General activities:

  • Excellent communication skills both oral & written (English)
  • Proven ability to pull together necessary experts, & assist with troubleshooting issues
  • Strong PC & Internet skills including working at the intermediate level in MS Office programs
  • Proven leadership skills, strong planning & organization skills

Must-Have Experience:

  • Three plus (3+) years working with Onshore/Offshore IT environment, five plus (5+) years working in IT environment
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Solid working knowledge of Bell’s DOQ Confluence (or similar Confluence experience)
  • Release/Deployment management experience
  • Monitoring Products such as Dynatrace, Grafana *not limited to
