Infrastructure Project Managers (73627) - (2) Positions

Job description

We are currently seeking two (2) Infrastructure Project Managers who are mid-career and capable of leading with autonomy. We are looking for candidates who are Proactive with a sense of Ownership, have high attention to detail and strong follow-up, and a fast learner to hit the ground running.  This is a 6-month remote from home contract starting immediately with a good chance of extension.

Key Skills for Infrastructure Project Managers:

  • Skills/Education:
  • Five plus (5+) years’ successful hands-on project management in an IT/software role
  • Two plus (2+) years experience leading software/infrastructure projects as primary (lead) PM
  • Some experience with, and conversational knowledge of, Agile approach
  • Effective, polished communicator (both written and verbal)
  • Other requirements:
  • Ability to travel in the continental US (very little, the position is remote)
  • Ability to work Eastern US time zone work hours
  • (Plus all other requirements for work eligibility/authorization/background)
  • Big pluses:
  • Past migration experience (shifting clients from one platform to another)
  • Consulting experience
  • Banking experience
  • Past experience turning around troubled projects
  • Strong MS Excel and MS Project skills
  • Some Clarity PPM experience

As the Infrastructure Project Managers, you will be responsible for:

  • Full awareness of assigned project info/status/issues
  • Champion their project needs & successes
  • Create, manage, and communicate a detailed schedule
  • Weekly and monthly reporting at team and exec level, including financials
  • Maintain detailed RAID log with weekly reporting, follow-up, prompt escalation
  • Facilitation of project communication needs (scheduling and notes)
  • Delivery to project metric targets
  • Recurring contribution to PM standardization and continual improvement efforts
  • Identifying project gaps and deficiencies, directing project resources to address
  • Ensuring team members understand assigned work, deadlines, and priorities
