Eagle currently has a career opportunity for eight (8) Intermediate Systems Analysts and we are looking to speak to qualified candidates with the skills and experience outlined below.

This position is a 12-month contract to start immediately.

Key Intermediate Systems Analysts Skills

  • Must have four (4) years IT experience within the last ten (10) years in all phases of the systems development life cycle including the following:
    • a) Documenting business requirements
    • b) Systems analysis
    • c) Project design
    • d) Development
    • e) Testing
  • Must have four (4) years within the last ten (10) years of experience working on an IBM Mainframe platform.
  • Must have four (4) years experience within the last ten (10) years working in a *large government department/agency, crown corporation, or private enterprise organization demonstrating System Analyst level 3 type work.
  • Must have four (4) years experience within the last ten (10) years analyzing, documenting and validating business requirements with the client, IT stakeholders and development teams.
  • Note: Large is defined as 1000+ employees
  • Must have four (4) years experience within the last ten (10) years analyzing, documenting and validating business requirements with the client, IT stakeholders and development teams.
  • Must have seven (7) years experience within the last fifteen (15) years with COBOL and CICS development within *large IT development projects.
  • Note: Large is defined as 1000+ users and includes internal and external clients/stakeholders

As Intermediate Systems Analysts, you will be responsible for:

  • Participate in all aspects of systems design, analysis and implementation of a large legacy system and/or development projects
  • Assist in the analysis of requirements, processes and data towards developing and implementing solutions that address business and technical needs.
  • Analyze and participate in the creation and gathering of business requirements.
  • Perform quality assurance tasks on their own work, as well as the work of others.
  • Perform unit, regression, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing as required.
  • Adhere to quality assurance standards as used in each phase of development and maintenance.
  • Perform independent verification and validation of software applications and systems function and performance.
  • Attend project/team meetings and briefings to articulate the proposed design or changes in a manner that makes sense to staff or to reach an understanding and/or solution to related problems and issues.
  • Support and use the selected agency methodologies and best practices.
  • Support systems in test and production environments; perform complex problem resolution/debugging.
  • Prepare the system for releases (production and lower states) and coordinate all changes with impacted partners.
  • Provide guidance to other members of the team.
