We have an opportunity for a great position as a Software Engineer- Java.

Top skills for Software Engineer- Java:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent discipline
  • Five plus (5+) years of information technology experience in Java application support and development
  • Five plus (5+) years experience in:
  • Java, JavaScript & web development languages like HTML, XML, CSS
  • web services like SOAP, JSON & REST API
  • Java EE technologies such as Servlet, JDBC and JSP
  • Understanding of enterprise methodologies, such as ITIL, CMMI, and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Spring or Strut framework
  • One (1) to three (3) years experience in:
  • Database technologies like SQL, Oracle, POSTGRES
  • Exposure to DevOps tools (Maven, Gradle, Git / Bitbucket, CDD, Ansible, Jenkins)

Nice to have:

  • Experience with ReactJS/ React.js
  • Exposure to team collaboration tools like Confluence, JIRA, MS Teams

As the Software Engineer- Java, you will be responsible for:

  • Design, develop, test and debug programs for small projects, bug fixes, Java REST web service APIs and microservices. Deployments may use Kubernetes containers. Knowledge of server-side coding, deployment and testing is required.
  • Use and enhance DevOps capabilities using Jenkins, Artifactory, Bitbucket, CDD, and Ansible.
  • Develop and maintain strategies for proactive monitoring of applications to provide early warning signs
  • Interface with other Software Engineers, Infrastructure teams, Lead Software Engineers, Business Systems Analysts and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions and maintain a stable, high performing application environment
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to eliminate waste and add efficiencies.
  • Ensure strict compliance of security and change management directives
  • Enable stability through troubleshooting issues and conducting root-cause analysis
