Janis Grantham Listed by PROFIT and Canadian Business as One of Canada’s Top Female Entrepreneurs

2016 W100 LogoOttawa, ON, May 16, 2016 – Eagle Professional Resources (Eagle) is excited to announce that CEO and co-founder, Janis Grantham, has again been ranked on the 18th annual W100 list of Canada’s Top Female Entrepreneurs by PROFIT and Canadian Business. Published today at PROFITguide.com, the W100 ranks female entrepreneurs using a proprietary formula that considers the size, growth rate and profitability of the businesses they own and manage.

This is the 12th consecutive year Janis Grantham has been a member of the elite W100. The news comes only weeks after the professional staffing agency announced Grantham’s appointment as CEO of the Canadian-owned company. Just this past Fall, she was also named on the first ever Global 100 which recognizes women in staffing around the world and more recently was named one of North America’s most influential people in staffing in the Staffing 100 List.

“The W100 gives us a glimpse at the millions of Canadian women who make a difference in our country’s economy by not only creating jobs, but providing leadership and mentorship to ensure this continues within newer generations,” said Grantham. “Thank you to PROFIT and Chatelaine for recognizing these efforts over the past 18 years.”

“The members of the 2016 W100 each possess the talent and tenacity to start and grow a successful business,” said James Cowan, Editor-in-chief of PROFIT and Canadian Business.  “Their remarkable achievements serve as proof that ambitious, risk-taking female entrepreneurs are integral to the growth of the Canadian economy.”

Grantham co-founded Eagle in 1996 and has been instrumental in growing the organization to 10 offices nation-wide and revenues surpassing $140 million. Over the past 20 years, Eagle has also been recognized with a number of awards, most notably one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies since 1999 and one of Canada’s Great Places to Work. Eagle is also ranked as one of the Top 10 Canadian ICT Staffing Companies, a listing published on the Branham300.

Full W100 editorial coverage will also appear in the June 2016 issue of Canadian Business and online at Chatelaine.com.
