Are you aiming high enough?
To really understand your potential you need to push your limits.
When you push your limits you get outside your comfort zone and it can be a little scary.
Can you handle that?
When you push your limits you will make mistakes.
Can you handle failure?
Here are a couple of things to think about …
1. Before becoming President of the United States Abraham Lincoln had a remarkable history of failures!
Here is an Abe Lincoln quote, “Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any other.”
2. Considered one of the best basketball players of all time (if not THE best) Michael Jordan was cut from his varsity basketball team because he was considered too short.
Here is a quote from Jordan, “I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”
You can’t change the past, but going forward you do not want to be in a position of regretting the things you didn’t do, the things you didn’t try and the missed opportunities.
Go for it!
